Project: Panda Headphones Story: While studying in Kyoto, Japan, our class took a short trip to Beijing, China to attend a two day global perspectives conference. While shopping early in the trip, we thought the street vendors had every sort of panda souvenir you could imagine, until my friend mentioned his desire for panda earmuffs. On the last evening of the trip, after days of searching in vain for earmuffs, I secretly bought two stuffed pandas with the intention of making a pair myself. Product: After returning to Japan, I decided to make panda headphones to joke around with my friend. They were a huge success. I am including them in my portfolio because of the overwhelmingly positive response I get from friends and strangers when I wear my panda headphones in public.
