After completing a semester long course in field methodology, I spent six weeks working at an archaeological dig in central Sicily. The dig took place at the acropolis of a Bronze Age settlement of an ancient people known as the Elymians. The highlight of the summer was when I unearthed a bronze toga clip or fibula that was over 2000 years old.
